A new car gift: their new reg on a keyring
New car. New keys. This gift is a 67.1 mm metal copy of its number plate, made to order. From £19.
A map of the first trip
Map the drive home from the dealer, or the first proper trip they take in it, and add the date they picked it up. The back takes the road between two places, or a single place, with a few words.
The fob in the picture is chrome; turn it over in the builder to see a map on the back. A map back costs £25 for one fob.
The yellow rear plate
Or keep it simple: the new reg on a white plate at the front and on the yellow rear plate at the back. It looks like the car from either end, and in chrome it is £19.
Words for the new keys
If you would rather write something, a short line in a font you pick works on the back:
- "Collected 14.03.26"
- "New car, same driver"
- "Enjoy the drive"
- "Our first family car"
A voice message, a photo or your handwriting work too.
Match the metal to the car
Black suits a dark car or black trim, gold a bright one, and chrome goes with anything. Gold and black add £3.
A new electric car can have the green flash on the left of the plate, as its real plate can. The other side flags are UK, GB, ENG, SCO, CYM and the EU stars.
Two keys, two fobs
A new car often comes with two keys. Any two fobs are £35, with free postage, so both keys can carry the reg: the rear plate on one and a map on the other comes to £37.
For dealers, garages and clubs
If you sell cars, run a garage or a car club, write to us with what you need and how many fobs. Tell us the regs, the backs and when you would need them, and we will reply.
A first car, or a car lover
For a first car, the new driver gift page has ideas for someone who has just got their licence. For someone who loves cars more than most, see gifts for car lovers.
How it works
- Type their reg. The fob turns in 3D as you build it.
- Pick the metal (chrome, gold or black) and what goes on the back.
- Once orders open, we make each fob to order and post it in its gift box.
One fob is £19, any two are £35. With a voice message or a map on the back: £25 for one, £39 for two. Gold or black metal adds £3. Postage is £2.99 for one fob, free for 2 or more.
Orders are not open yet. Build it now, and leave your email in the basket: we write when the shop opens.
Questions
Can I order before the plates are on the car?
Yes, as long as you know the exact reg. The fob is made with it, so wait until the reg is confirmed.
Can I order for a business or a dealer?
Yes. Write to us with what you need and how many.
Is it a legal number plate?
No. It is a keyring and can't be used on a car.
Can I add a voice message?
Yes, up to 30 seconds, played with a phone camera. A voice back makes the fob £25.
Does it come in a gift box?
Yes, each fob comes in its own gift box, ready to hand over with the keys.
