A dad keyring with his own reg
His reg. Front and back. Dads are hard to buy for, but most have a car, and every car has keys. This one puts his number plate on them in cast metal, with something from the family on the back. From £19.
Front and back, like his car
On the front, his reg on a white plate, with a GB, UK or other side flag if he likes one. On the back, the same reg on the yellow rear plate. Turn it over in your hand and it matches the car from both ends.
If he has a private plate he is proud of, that works too: any UK reg up to seven characters, current or cherished.
Pick chrome, gold or black metal. The one in the picture is black.
From the kids
Or hand the back over to the children:
- Their words in a font you choose, such as "Love you, Dad" or "Best dad, worst jokes".
- Their voices: up to 30 seconds, recorded in the browser or uploaded from a voice note. He plays it with his phone camera.
- A note in their own handwriting.
- A family photo.

Lines for the back
Short lines read best. A few to start from:
- "Dad's taxi"
- "World's best driver (says Dad)"
- "Thanks for every lift"
- "Drive safe, Grandad x"
Choose a font in the builder and turn the fob over to see the line on the back.
For Grandad too
A grandad keyring works the same way: his reg on the front, the grandchildren on the back. Record them saying hello, and he can play it with his phone camera whenever he picks up his keys. If he no longer drives, use the reg of the car he loved most.
Order one for Dad and one for Grandad together: the two are £35 with words, a photo or the rear plate on the back, or £39 with two voice messages, and postage is free.
Christmas, birthday or Father's Day
Each occasion suits a different back. At Christmas, a seasonal line: the Christmas stocking filler page has a few. On his birthday, his age or the date. On Father's Day, a few words from each child, or their voices one after another.
Orders are not open yet, so there are no dates to promise for any of them.

How it works

- Pick the metal (chrome, gold or black) and what goes on the back.
- Once orders open, we make each fob to order and post it in its gift box.
One fob is £19, any two are £35. With a voice message or a map on the back: £25 for one, £39 for two. Gold or black metal adds £3. Postage is £2.99 for one fob, free for 2 or more.

How does he play the voice message?
He points his phone camera at the code printed on the back, and the message opens. Most phones need no app.
